Player of the Week: Week 3
Welcome to the third edition of KHL’s player of the week. Only two teams were represented this week yet again, and I’m sure most of you can guess which team was represented by two players. All three players winning a player of the week honour this week have been in these articles one way or another, but we do have two new winners. Without wasting any more time, let’s get into VGKHL’s players of the week.
z-Jor-z: 4 GP, 19 G, 18 A, 37 P, 9.25 PPG, +32, 4-0-0
21-1-2 on the season, Adler Mannheim is dominating the league and in large part because of their 2 winners for players of the week this week. The first player winning from Adler is week 2’s winner, Jor. Winning for the second time in a row, Jor may have had less points this week, but he was way more efficient. WIth an outstanding 9.25 points per game in the 4 games he played (19 goals, 18 assists) Jor did it all. Adler has a ton of weapons on the team, but Jor is someone that needs to be stopped for a team to have any hope of winning even just a game against Adler.
i9i-stamkos-i1ic: 5 GP, 14 G, 19 A, 33 P, 6.60 PPG, +32, 5-0-0
KarlssonIsGod: 3 GP, 15 G, 4 A, 19 P, 6.33 PPG, +10, 3-0-0
Hardiie-: 3 GP, 6 G, 13 A, 19 P, 6.33 PPG, +21, 3-0-0
DudNastyy: 5 GP, 4 G, 6 A, 10 P, 2.00 PPG, +19, 4-0-1
The second player from Adler to win this past week and first time defencemen of the week in KHL season 4, Dudnasty. In the 5 games he played this week, he only lost 1 game in overtime. With 4 goals and 6 assists this past week, Dud helped his team offensively putting up great numbers for a defencemen, and still helped his team keep the puck out of his own zone. Adler is the team to beat, and Dud is a big reason why.
Boughss: 2 GP, 1 G, 7 A, 8 P, 4.00 PPG, +19, 2-0-0
the-statistician: 4 GP, 2 G, 5 A, 7 P, 1.75 PPG, +5, 4-0-0
xBudz87: 5 GP, 0 G, 7 A, 7 P, 1.40 PPG, +11, 4-1-0
Binny_50: 6 GP, 5-1-0, .919 SV%, 1.24 GAA, 2 SO
The one player not from Adler winning an award this week, Binny had a tremendous week for the Berlin Blues. The captain of the team leading by example, Binny went 5-1 this week and put up outstanding numbers in a high offence league. The one loss he had this week wasn’t even to Adler who he was able to beat in overtime. With a .919 save percentage and a 1.24 goals against average, Binny was absolutely amazing. Add 2 more shutouts to add to his statsheet for the week, Binny was by far the best goaltender of the week.
BRUHOLA99: 4 GP, 4-0-0, .889 SV%, 1.24 GAA, 1 SO
IcedFire97: 3 GP, 3-0-0, .885 SV%, 1.00 GAA, 1 SO
