It is time once again to find out which country has the best thumbs in the game.
Canada will be looking to regain its status as the leader in elite Chel thumbs after a disappointing WC6 which saw the USA take home Gold and Bronze.
For this edition of the World Championships, the divisional play will run for two weeks instead of just one, which should allow teams a better chance at having an opportunity to earn a shot at the medal games.
As for the player eligibility, WC7 will continue to operate as it did for WC6 without any regional restrictions. This means that teams may pick any registered player from their country to be on their team. Our European players may also play for either a Canadian or American team if they are offered a roster spot. Please be aware that IP history is checked for all applicants. Anyone caught trying to lie about their location will be removed from the tournament and could face a potential BL3 from the league. Please ask players from your country to sign up by editing their gamer profiles ASAP to ensure that they are added to this season's free agency pool.
The Status upgrade prize structure will still be in effect for season 18 of the VGHL per the prizes below:
Gold medal winners will receive an FA1 status upgrade.
Silver medal winners will receive an FA2 status upgrade.
Bronze medal winners will receive an FAA status upgrade.
The players that participate in the gold medal series and win gold will also receive a free limited edition VGHL Blackout hat.
