This season was the first time Xbox was ever able to compete in the VGHL, and trust me when I say there were some definitive growing pains associated with the expansion but somehow all teams managed to survive until the bitter end. As with the Eastern Conference the picture in the west is pretty well finalized outside of a bit of potential shuffling and a few outside contenders at the wild card spots and a tight race in the Central. Let’s dive right in starting with that Central division.
Central Division
Chicago Blackhawks 37-11-3 (5-2-0)
The Blackhawks are a bit of a surprise here I’m going to be honest. Entering this season no one really knew what to expect from the rookie management duo but man if you had any doubts they wasted no time in shutting you up. A great performance all season long has the Blackhawks pretty well locked into being the Western Conference Regular Season Champions.

Xmoisty_cheeksx: 5 GP, 12 G, 8 A, 20 Pts, 4.00 P/G, +9, 3-2-0
Nashville Predators 32-15-5 (7-0-1)
It might be just a little too late for the Predators to steal the division crown at this stage but my goodness what a week from these guys. Absolutely dominant play start to finish with their only loss coming in overtime to the Blackhawks. They didn’t give an inch to anyone who wasn’t willing to work for it. Turp and Bubba should be darned proud of the work they put in all season long and I’m sure everyone is excited to see what they can do in the playoffs.

EasyxMoneyx: 4 GP, 10 G, 10 A, 20 Pts, 5.00 P/G, +1. 3-0-1
Minnesota Wild 25-22-4 (2-4-1)
A rare mediocre season for the McFlurGod sees the Minnesota Wild just barely hanging on for 3rd in their division with St Louis, Colorado, Arizona and Dallas all within striking distance. If the Wild have another week like last week they could be legitimately knocked out completely. They better step it up and fast.

Pacific Division
Los Angeles Kings 35-15-2 (5-3-0)
The LA Kings are in the position every other Xbox team would like to be in right now holding onto a slim lead atop the Pacific Division. I honestly don’t know much about this team outside of their owner is a commissioner and they’re really, really inconsistent. That inconsistency could be showing itself at the worst possible time.

MistrBruin: 8 GP, 11 G, 11 A, 22 Pts, 2.75 P/G, +9, 5-3-0
Edmonton Oilers 35-16-1 (6-2-0)
The cat in the game of cat and mouse with the Kings is most definitely the Oilers. A phenomenal showing all season long so far and they’re now just 1 point back with 8 games remaining. These boys are locked in and they look really good heading into the playoffs. If I was a betting man I would take them to win this division. They have all the momentum, just have to carry it through.

X Kozak 12: 3 GP, 9 G, 4 A, 13 Pts, 4.33 P/G, +1, 1-2-0
Anaheim Ducks 34-16-2 (6-1-1)
The Ducks have arguably in my honest opinion the best team on the Xbox side however availability has absolutely killed them all season long. If this team can get their availability figured out they are a legitimate title contender. I’m curious to see if they can realize their potential. If not I doubt they will get very far.

Wild Card
Vancouver Canucks 31-20-1 (8-0-0)
Holy Hell, wait no, hotter than hell, the Canucks have made a statement and with another week like last they could rocket all the way up to the top. A perfect 8-0-0 week cannot be overstated as Killa’s team absolutely destroyed the opposition last week. Seriously for a team that needed a big week that performance is nothing short of spectacular.

Calgary Flames 27-20-3 (2-4-1)
Considering the playoff race has heated up to an inferno Calgary failing to input any stats in a win could prove to be their downfall. I don’t know if they were busy or lazy or maybe a little bit of both but it is unacceptable to fail to do stats with 11 games left in the entire season when you only have a 4 point cushion. This is a very costly error from the team’s management and honestly I hope it serves as a lesson in the importance of always doing your stats.

AlphaX Fallen: 2 GP, 8 G, 2 A, 10 Pts, 5.00 P/G, +3, 2-0-0
Colorado Avalanche 25-24-3 (0-6-2)
This Avalanche just can’t stop falling. With how terrible their week was, their only saving grace appears to be that Minnesota is falling apart at the exact right time to keep them in it. Scalz is a brilliant manager with a long history of success, if he can get his boys to step it up here in the final week the divisional race is definitely still an option as they are only 1 point back.

Wozy97: 4 GP, 9 G, 2 A, 11 Pts, 2.75 P/G, 0-2-2
After a long and grueling 2 months we find ourselves mere moments from the promised land. There’s a lot more possible outcomes in the west than in the east but without a doubt the most impressive thing is how well this season has gone. The transition to a hybrid league was a little rocky, don’t get me wrong. But the incredible staff and owners of this league managed to not only add Xbox at the last possible second but keep it running as flawlessly as anyone could all season long. Honorable mentions still in playoff contention go to; Arizona, St Louis, Seattle and Dallas. Best of luck to all. Let’s have a great final week.
